Round House East

Round House East is a beautiful holiday cottage in Veryan, Cornwall. The owner Ian asked me to develop a new website to replace an existing design to showcase the cottage to potential guests and give them plenty of information about the area and local attractions.

Ian supplied me with a wealth of photographs of the cottage and local area. I put these into two separate galleries which pop up from a single photo on the relevent sections and added captions to the photos of the local area. I also added a Google Map under the location gallery to give a full overhead view of the area, aswell as showing how close to the sea the cottage is, visitors can zoom in and see the circular proile of the cottage for themselves.

Ian was keen to have a guestbook on the website to publish reviews guests have written in the real guestbook at the cottage. I thought was a great way to feature independant opinions on the cottage and area and give potential visitors an idea of what their stay would be like. I gave the final Round House East Guestbook a form to allow visitors to the website to add their own reviews aswell.

The website also features a large slideshow on the homepage, a simple contact form for email enquiries and a weblinks section to link to local restaurants, attractions and entertainment.
