• Key Features: New systems with blogs, a Directory with Reviews, Ratings and Comments, A fully featured Bulletin Board / Forum, a Gallery and Calendar / Gig and Event Listings.
• Also featured complex banner advertising system. Allowing any combination of types of ads on any page or section/s.

Social Insight was where it all started for me. Through the research and practice it took creating this website and fixing problems on the fly, I began to learn the skills that took me on to where I am today.

Social Insight was co-developed with my old design partners Barry Richards and Rob Knott. I had a hand in the design and configuration of the content management system and design of the style of the site.

The organisation of the site was complicated, listing pubs from across the country as well and featuring many articles and columns. This was all tied into the the Forum which was used as a hub for the community of memebers that we developed.

For the style we wanted to bring the holiday atmosphere back from the party islands of Greece as it was this type of lifestyle and social culture that we wanted to promote and continue back here in Britain.

Social Insight was a great learning experience for me and it is a concept that I hope to return to one day but perhap splitting it into 2 or maybe even 3 different websites. The decision was taken to move on to new opurtunities after a year as the sheer scope of the website was too large and proved difficult to administer with such a small team, despite their dedication.
